Casa de Tapas at the Dubai Creek Yacht Club is hosting ‘El Dia de Reyes’, or Three Kings Day, a celebration on 3rd January 2015 as the culmination of the Christmas Season.

The date marks the pinnacle of the twelve days of Christmas and commemorates the three wise men – Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar – who traveled from afar bearing gifts. Traditionally, the children of Spain look forward to this holiday as gifts are exchanged on this date, not on Christmas day.

In addition to the gift-giving on Three Kings Day there is also a culinary treat that is specific to the holiday. Known as ‘Roscon de Reyes’ or King’s Cake, this holiday dessert offers much in the way of symbolism as this sweet bread is round in shape to signify a crown.

During the month of December, in the run up to Three Kings Day, children and their parents are invited to visit Casa de Tapas and ask for the ‘Three Kings Letter’. On the letter kids can write their Christmas wishes and afterwards drop it inside the Magic Mail Box so the Casa de Tapas Elves can take it to the Three Kings.

On 3rd January 2015 the Three Kings Melchior, Gaspar and Balthasar will come to Casa de Tapas bringing with them a selection of gifts from the letters. Guests will enjoy gift-giving, delicious tapas and spend quality time with the family as Casa de Tapas celebrates this special day.

  • Kids Menu AED 75
  • Soft Drinks & Food and Roscon de Reyes AED 149
  • House Spirits & Food and Roscon de Reyes AED 199

Sparkling Cava, House Spirits & Food and Roscon de Reyes AED 249.
