Stratos, the unique revolving restaurant located at the highest point of the newly renovated Le Royal Meridien Abu Dhabi, has unveiled a host of exciting new offerings for 2015.
Stratos is one of the most versatile venues in Abu Dhabi, offering an array of F&B experiences for the discerning resident or tourist. Boasting fantastic views of the city, best enjoyed at sunset as the city begins to sparkle against the night sky, it’s the latest place for residents and visitors alike to soak up the essence of Abu Dhabi.
First up on the list of new offerings is Stratos’s ‘Tippling Afternoon Tea’, where the guest can enjoy a traditional afternoon tea, complete with a range of high quality sandwiches, sweets, coffee and tea, and their ‘tipple’ served in a teapot (completely discreet; no one need ever know what’s really going on at that table!) Afternoon tea is served every day between 3pm and 6pm (except Sunday).
Looking for somewhere to have your after-work or pre-dinner drinks gathering? It’s the perfect place for sundowners, with stunning sunset views unlike any other you’ll see in Abu Dhabi.
After the sun sets, Stratos really comes to life. The venue recently launched Kiss & Tell, the Ladies Night every Tuesday from 7pm, with resident DJ Amanda playing the coolest lounge house, and ladies receiving complementary drinks from 7pm to late. Set in opulent yet relaxing surroundings with plenty of plush seating, it’s the perfect place for women to catch up and gossip with their friends.
Stratos also has one of the first ‘Beverage Locker’ concepts in Abu Dhabi – guests can buy a bottle of premium spirits, and in case it’s not finished on the date of purchase, they can choose to store it in one of the 30 specially displayed lockers at Stratos. Guests can then come back on a later date to retrieve it – a great idea when entertaining clients or friends. Guests can also choose to personalise the lockers and have their names printed on them.
Stratos will also be launching SIN (Stratos Industry Night) in February, which will take place every Saturday. To play on the SIN theme, a variety of cocktails named after the seven deadly sins will be on offer, and all customers will receive 50% discount on selected food and drink, an ideal night out for those working in any industry during weekends to unwind on a Saturday night (prior to a possible day off on Sunday).
Stratos’s stylish décor, with a black and gold colour scheme, is inspired by the 1920s prohibition era. The innovative menu features an array of international flavours, prepared under the watchful eye of Executive Head Chef and F&B Director Justin Galea, and Chef De Cuisine Grant Balinger. Each dish reflects extensive travel, created with seasonal produce sourced from the finest suppliers.
From its eclectic selection of freshly prepared drinks, the 360 degree views of the city, and lavishly gastronomic experiences, Stratos promises to take guests on a true ‘journey of the senses’.
Towering as a beacon above the capital and celebrating the idea of beauty in motion, Stratos aspires to take the hospitality experience to the next level, from the five-star welcome to the personalized service philosophy. Guests will revel in Stratos’ status as the only revolving bar and lounge concept in the capital, whilst enjoying perfectly crafted beverages and exquisite bites from the lounge or a la carte menu.
Drink in the unique ambiance whilst taking in the chic interiors and the panoramic cityscape that opens up as the restaurant gently revolves around its 360 axis. Return to marvel at the evolving view from day to night, whether azure skies for a gourmet Afternoon Tea, a seductive sunset during cocktail hour or the after-dark atmosphere that lends itself to decadent nighttime adventures until the early hours
