Eataly, the Italian market-and-restaurant chain created by Oscar Farinetti, opened its first ME franchise in Dubai with the ribbon-cutting ceremony held on 9 December 2013. The highly acclaimed chain started out back in 2007 in an old vermouth warehouse in Turin, and has expanded globally ever since with outlets across Italy, Japan and USA. Its goal is to make authentic Italian food available to everyone, at affordable prices, in an informal environment where people can eat, shop, and learn.
“We’re in love with food” and “Food unites us all” are just two of the key philosophies of Eataly’s Manifesto.
The vibrant Dubai location replicates the successful Eataly format, respecting Koranic precepts without compromising the magic of Italian food.
The Cafe area at the entrance includes pastries, Venchi chocolate (no butter and cream added!), Gelato, Nutella Bar and Illy Caffè Bar. All the pastries, from Tiramisù to croissants, are made in house by our Italian pastry chef
The Market features a wide range of authentic products, from Sardinian tomato sauces and Napoli Gragnano pasta to regional olive oils and five gold medal balsamic vinegar. Our range of Italian cheese and charcuterie also includes mozzarella made fresh daily in our on-site lab.
The Restaurants include real Italian pizza and pasta, roast and grilled meat and fish, and a selection of fresh salads and vegetable dishes, all prepared in house by our team of chefs.
Many of the items used in our recipes are available to purchase in the market”, We sell what we cook and we cook what we sell”.
Staying true to its roots, Eataly marks yet another milestone to treat foodies in the UAE to the true taste of Italy!
Established in 2007 by former electronics entrepreneur Oscar Farinetti with the aim of making high-quality Italian food available to everyone, at affordable prices and in an informal environment where people can shop, taste and learn. Eataly opened its first 30,000 square feet location in a rundown vermouth warehouse in the Lingotto district of Turin, and has expanded ever since to 27 stores (10 in Italy, 13 in Japan, 1 in New York, 1 in Chicago, 1 in Turkey, and 1 located inside the Dubai Mall in Dubai, which opened its doors in December 2013). “We’re in love with food” and “Food unites us all” are just two of the key philosophies of the Manifesto of the food emporium that combines multiple restaurant stations with a cafe and gourmet farmers’ market.
