India Club celebrated the festive season with the creation of Dubai’s Biggest Rangoli on Thursday, October 29, 2015. The Rangoli was inaugurated by H. E. Anurag Bhushan, The Consul General of India, Dubai on 29th October at 7pm. The rangoli will be at display until 3rd November’15.

IMG_7471The Rangoliwas created on an area of 4,508 square feet by 30 Ladies who spent 3 days in preparation of the same.

Rangoli  is a folk art from India in which patterns are created on the floor using colored powder. It is usually made during Diwali, Onam, Pongal and other Indian festivals. The purpose of Rangoli is decoration, and it is thought to bring good luck.

The Rangoli is for viewing of India Club Members and Member’s Guests.
